Terms of Service and Warranty Policy
Provider: VSG Appliances, Pasco, WA
Effective Date: October 1, 2025
1. Services and Sales
VSG Appliances provides residential appliance diagnostics, repairs, delivery, installation, and the sale of new, used, and refurbished appliances and parts.
Appliances sold may show cosmetic wear consistent with prior use. Products are sold for functional household use and are not represented as new unless expressly stated in writing.
2. Payment Terms
Payment is due in full at the time of service, pickup, or delivery unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Work, delivery, or installation will not be performed without payment authorization.
ALL SALES ARE FINAL. NO RETURNS, REFUNDS, OR EXCHANGES once an appliance, part, or merchandise has left VSG Appliances’ possession.
3. Diagnostic Service
VSG Appliances provides in-home appliance diagnostics throughout Pasco, Kennewick, Richland, and the surrounding Tri-Cities area.
Diagnostic fees are:
$100 for refrigerators
$75 for stoves, washers, and dryers
The diagnostic fee is required upfront to confirm and schedule an appointment.
Diagnostic fees are non-refundable. If the customer proceeds with the repair, the fee will be credited toward the total repair cost. If the repair is declined, the diagnostic fee may be applied as in-store credit toward a future service or appliance purchase.
Diagnostic credits are valid for 30 days from the date of service. After 30 days, the credit expires and a new diagnostic fee may be required to re-establish service or schedule additional appointments.
Diagnostic service covers inspection and troubleshooting only and does not guarantee repairability or continued operation of the appliance.
4. Delivery and Installation
VSG Appliances offers free outside delivery within the Tri-Cities area for appliances purchased directly from VSG Appliances.
Professional appliance installation is available for a flat fee of $75 for appliances purchased through VSG Appliances.
Installation includes basic placement, leveling, and connection of the appliance to existing compatible utilities where applicable. Installation availability may vary depending on appliance type and site conditions.
Customers are responsible for ensuring the installation area is accessible and properly prepared.
5. Limited Warranty
All appliances sold by VSG Appliances, including new and used units, include a 180-day (6-month) limited warranty covering the appliance in its entirety under normal residential use.
For repair services performed by VSG Appliances, the warranty covers only the specific part replaced and the labor associated with that repair.
At VSG Appliances’ sole discretion, covered items will be repaired or replaced. No refunds or cash value will be provided.
This warranty does not guarantee product lifespan, efficiency, noise level, or uninterrupted performance.
6. Warranty Exclusions and Limitations
The warranty does not cover, and is void for:
Cosmetic damage, dents, scratches, or normal wear and tear
Glass, shelving, handles, knobs, or non-functional components
Misuse, neglect, abuse, or improper operation
Improper installation, leveling, ventilation, or utility connections
Power surges, electrical issues, plumbing leaks, or water damage
Pest or rodent damage
Commercial, rental, or non-residential use unless approved in writing
Appliances moved, serviced, opened, altered, or repaired by anyone other than VSG Appliances
Parts sold separately and installed by third parties or customers
Failure caused by external conditions or pre-existing issues
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, customers are responsible for transporting appliances to VSG Appliances for warranty service.
7. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for:
Ensuring safe and accessible pathways for delivery or service
Providing proper electrical, gas, and plumbing connections
Ensuring installation readiness and code compliance
Securing appliances during customer pickup or transport
VSG Appliances is not liable for damage or loss occurring during customer pickup or transport.
Once delivery or installation is completed, responsibility for the appliance transfers to the customer.
8. Storage, Pickup, and Abandoned Items
Appliances, parts, or items left with VSG Appliances for repair, pickup, or storage must be collected within 30 days of notification that the item is ready.
Items not picked up within 30 days may be considered abandoned property unless prior arrangements have been made in writing.
VSG Appliances reserves the right to charge reasonable storage fees, resell, recycle, or otherwise dispose of abandoned items to recover costs associated with repair, storage, or handling.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VSG Appliances shall not be liable for:
Property damage
Water leaks, flooding, or fire
Electrical damage or power-related issues
Food or product spoilage
Loss of use, downtime, inconvenience, or lost income
Incidental, indirect, special, or consequential damages
Appliances and parts are mechanical devices subject to wear and unexpected failure. Continued performance after service or sale is not guaranteed.
VSG Appliances’ total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific product or service provided.
10. Manufacturer Recalls
Manufacturer recalls, safety notices, or corrective actions are the sole responsibility of the manufacturer.
Customers are responsible for registering appliances and checking for recalls.
Recall-related inspections, repairs, replacements, or compensation are not covered by VSG Appliances and must be handled directly through the manufacturer.
11. Right to Refuse or Discontinue Service
VSG Appliances reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service at its discretion, including unsafe, unsanitary, hazardous, or inaccessible conditions, or when repairs are not economically or technically feasible.
12. Acceptance of Terms
By scheduling service, purchasing products, or accepting delivery or installation, the customer acknowledges and agrees to these Terms of Service and Warranty Policy.
13. Policy Updates
VSG Appliances may modify these terms at any time without prior notice. The most current version will be posted on the website or available upon request.
14. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
By purchasing products or services from VSG Appliances, the customer agrees to contact VSG Appliances directly to resolve any concerns before initiating a credit card chargeback or payment dispute.
Initiating a chargeback after receiving products or services may be considered a violation of this agreement. VSG Appliances reserves the right to provide documentation of signed receipts, delivery confirmations, service records, and communications to the payment processor or financial institution.
Customers may be responsible for any costs, fees, or collection expenses associated with improper chargebacks or payment disputes.
15. Rental Property and Third-Party Authorization
Customers purchasing appliances or scheduling service for rental properties, tenants, or third parties must have proper authorization from the property owner or responsible party.
VSG Appliances is not responsible for disputes between landlords, tenants, property managers, or third parties regarding appliance ownership, installation, payment, or service authorization.
The individual or entity requesting service or purchase remains financially responsible for all charges.
16. Used Appliance Acknowledgment
Customer acknowledges that used or refurbished appliances may contain previously used components and may show cosmetic imperfections including scratches, dents, or discoloration.
While appliances are tested for functional operation prior to sale, used appliances may have a shorter remaining lifespan than new products and may require future maintenance or repair.
Normal wear, aging components, and performance variations are not considered defects under warranty.
